It appears that MPs from across the political spectrum are placing Law and Order at the top of their priorities, with 2 bills being proposed to the House relating to the legality of Guns. The National Gun Permits Bill has just been passed to muted approval. Most seem to agree that it is a wise choice in the modern day climate, but small pro-firearm groups are claiming they are unhappy about the proposal and 'may be hard to persuade.' In other news, the Christophian Foreign Holergas arrived in Ostentia today at the beginning of his country-wide visit. He will be in contact with the major party leaders and will also particiapte in a special Question Time in the House of Commons. Also in international news, the opening of the first line on the new Empthrinian Rail Link is expected to come in the next few days. While officially the project is not to be finished for some time, it is expected that the railways will be put in use as soon as possible in order to make best use of the resource. |
