Since losing the post of speaker, Commoncold0 has done little more than berate the Boo Party government. We of the Boo Party are outraged by his actions. Most latest in this line of attacks upon us is the claim that we rigged the election. We object most profusely to this. The Boo Party did not rig the election. Not once have we told anyone who they should vote for. This has been told to Commoncold0, however he has chosen to ignore it and continue with his attacks.

I move that the former Speaker has been failing his responsibilities as leader of the Ostentian Democrat Party by wasting his time on petty and meaningless arguments and that the house should state its dissaproval of this, and hope that this statement motion will herald the end of this.

POINT OF ORDER!!!
:tophat: :tophat: :tophat: :tophat: :tophat: :tophat: :tophat:

Mr Speaker, the Prime Minister is misleading the house! At what point have I, as a member of parliament, claimed that the government rigged the election?

Unless the Prime Minister can provide proof that I made such a claim, I demand he withdraw his remarks and this motion!

The "conduct" of your Outrage Motion no doubt refers to the claims that we rigged the election.

If it does not, then your Outrage Motion surely has no grounds to stand on, thus only confirming the need for this.

What claims? Who has been making such claims? At one point has anybody accused you of rigging the election? Prime Minister, the only person who has spoken of election rigging is you. Perhaps you have something to tell us?

As for your second point, then if you are right then surely my motion will be defeated easily and you have nothing to worry about?

You mistake the purpose of this statement! We do not worry about ourselves, but about the House itself! If your motions continue like this, you will degrade politics to nothing more than constant bickering over things that don't even exist!

Then should you not lead by example?

My motion is a Private Member Statement Motion. It comes last when it comes to voting order. If your government is really so full of good ideas that this house urgently needs to discuss, then in theory my motion should never come to be voted on.

As I stated in the motion, I hope that this will finally end this ridiculous crusade you have chosen to embark upon. If you seek peace prepare for war.

I have no intention of abandoning my "crusade" as you put it. This motion will have absolutely no effect on my behaviour - my party only has 24 out of 237 MPs, so I expect to lose votes. This motion will achieve absolutely nothing.

Then your party should be hoping to claim more seats, rather than lowering itself to this standard.

Instead of wasting energy fighting the government, you can create legislation to better Ostentia.

As the leader of a party of opposition, albiet a minor one, it is my duty to hold the government to account for its actions, and that is what I intend to do, regardless of the consequences.

However, you've already stated that there are no actions.

And I am fully prepared to hold inactive governments to account as well!
