A saying about gift horses and mouths comes to mind.

Not that losing matters too much to the DSP. With the latest Alliance proposals on parliamentary timetables due to be passed shortly after the election the Opposition gets the chance to participate in running the country more than ever.

Well not really, because we'd still have no control over the budget. And I liked having control over the budget. It made me feel happy. :(

If you're in government, you control the budget. You're the ODP. We're the DSP...

Misread HRH's post. Thought it said "Not that losing to the DSP matters too much".

This happened last time too. We just don't pick up the left-wing vote in the second round =/...

You're forgetting that I'm also centre-left. So with the Alliance, you get the best of both worlds, so to speak.

His budgets have to be approved by me and miniyoda before they're announced. If he tried to force one through, what're the chances he'd see another day in government? :P

If, as I suspect, your outrage is directed at the lowering of taxes, I remind you that we were still able to increase spending considerably.

If you think we've gone wrong, I would welcome your input so we can come to a better arrangement.

Also, I'm glad you don't think too much less of me as a result of this. :)

I have a say in this too!

It's usually "I have no complaints" but that's because I do not know enough about economics, and I'm posting to confirm that his figures are added up right.
