And the DSP have got a vote this morning as well. It was 5-5 before I voted, and it's now 7-6.

It was 6-5 to the DSP yesterday evening...

edit: or it might have been when I first came on this morning...

It was never 6-5 to the DSP - I made it 6-5 to the ODP

Did the new person vote? or just sign up and do nothing? An admin can check who voted for what in the poll. I'd suggest we have a lower limit on amount of posts before you can vote in an election. Similar to becoming a 'citizen' of Ostentia after 10 posts or something. Otherwise, it's just corruption to get your mates who have no intention of ever playing, voting for your party.

From memory (although I'm not sure how good this is) admins have no way of telling who voted.

I think (if TTF can cope with this) that we should PM our votes to him; possibly even set up an electoral register of people who are able to vote, although what this would be based on is difficult.

I hereby announce that the ODP is to go into coalition with the F&V=P Party.

Yes...but the Liberal Alliance was the best government this place has ever seen.

It'll be a coalition, not an alliance.

I suggested this before, but they just said that it was bad because voting is the whole point of the forums or something ¬_¬

If I remember correctly, you were proposing having a certain post count to be able to vote at all...

Which would mean that participation in the simulation would effectively become a reward for having made a certain number of posts.

This leads to lots of spam or near-spam by new members trying to get up their post count so that they can participate, which is not a good thing.

There's no easy solution. You just have to take heart from the fact that a party which rigs an election will face a nightmare trying to get bills through the House of Commons. -_-
