Yes, but the only voting by polls is on elections, other voting is done by actually posting, if they took interest in the simulation and voted in motions and that, then theyd be able to vote by the time the election came around.

If somebody joins before an election, and we say "sorry, you can't take part" then the chances are that they'll just leave.

Any sensible person would realise its to stop electoral fraud. If they joined just before an election they wont know what party they're going to vote for yet anyway, they'll still need to get the ropes.

How about the only people who can vote are MPs. To become an MP you have to apply to a party and be accepted. Red tape takes say oooh a month to process, and voila your an MP and eligable to vote in the next election.

That means that every election would be a foregone conclusion. And plqx would be barred from voting. :P

Seriously though, we shouldn't have restrictions. The current situation may not be perfect, but as soon as you close ranks against new members you're consigning this forum to oblivion.

A draw is hardly a foregone conclusion.

With the current political climate the only partys without a chance of getting into power are my joke parties

The fact is though, the only parties I can see winning for the foreseeable future are the ODP and the FVP. Because they gather the most voters. This is the fourth term that the ODP has been in government. Fourth. That's unprecedented. And this is the DSP's fourth term in opposition...

This coalition was a hastily constructed affair which would have failed if not for last minute compromises.

Still, I can't see how anything can change. No-one will coalesce with us, as the second largest party, and coalitions are needed in the current political climate. I was originally hoping for PPP coalitions, but Jack has deluded himself into thinking the PPP is a real party and that he can "make it on his own"...

Originally F&V=P did plan to coalesce with P&P but they turned us down :(

You launch an attack like that on him and his party... and your surprised that he didn't go into coalition?
