I'm fairly sure he can. It's not as if you need a Bill saying the new text will be " ".

As admin, I have to say that this is the logical solution and I believe even protocol.

The question is as in the motion.

As many who are of that opinion say aye,
Aye!
To the contrary no,
No!

Division!

This is a breach of parliamentary protocol. Therefore, NO!

If it's a breach of protocol, you could have said so (and explained so) earlier. I did purposefully not put it to vote for a while on the basis that people might have objections.

What's the issue here? NB voting temporarily suspended.

I've been busy with a combination of university work and food poisoning over the last few days, so I haven't had the time to look at every post made on here.

It's a breach of protcol because acts of parliament can only be repealed by other acts of parliament, as opposed to motions.

So it's a technical thing then.

OK, mea culpa, I'm not so technically minded in these things.

In which case:

HRH, write a bill which would repeal this, I don't care how it works. Then CC0 please ensure it doesn't breach protocol. Then HRH make a motion, and I'll put it to vote. Preferably ASAP.

Motion blocked.

I'll make the bill, as it falls under my Shadow Ministerial role.
