PREAMBLE: An Act to provide a definition of death for the purposes of the law of Ostentia. SECTION 1 (DEFINITION OF DEATH): For the purposes of the law of Ostentia, a person has died when there has occurred— ( a ) irreversible cessation of all function of the brain of the person; or ( b ) irreversible cessation of circulation of blood in the body of the person. |

Yup, have to define this for my next bill which will be up in about 10 minutes. Writing it now. Edit: Also, we have to have this because nothing at the moment stops someone claiming they died (as in heart attack) and then are resuscitated to collect life insurance etc. |

Ah, but without a definition of death my good man, it can be argued they technically 'died'. This is a technical bill which just defines death. |
