Under this bill,

1. The current system of electing members to the House of Commons will be abolished.

2. In its place, the Additional Member System will be introduced, with 100 members being directly elected from single member constituencies, and 54 members indirectly elected from regional party lists to make the final result proportional.

3. As this bill reduces the House of Commons by 26 seats, the required Administration budget shall be reduced by 10 units.

[/bill]

Ok, so there are only three things guaranteed in life - death, taxes and my electoral reform bills. :P

Basicly, the reason why I'm introducing this is because I've built a new election machine that is able to automatically calculate FPTP results in individual seats based on party characteristics, and I want to be able to use it. It also simplifies party details - parties won't need to pick numbers from 1 to 10 anymore, but just say whether they're left wing, liberal etc. Basicly, I'll be able to make a cool election night.

If you don't care at all about any of that, then just look at this as being a bill which reduces the administration budget slightly. ;)
