For those to bored to click the link:
- Dwarfs (already released, 3rd out in 6th edition)
- Orcs & Goblins (confirmed for autumn 2006, 2nd out in 6th edition)
- Empire (Q2 2007, 1st out in 6th edition)
- Vampire Counts (Q4 2007, 4th out in 6th edition)
- Dark Elves (2008 sometime, 5th out in 6th edition)
UPDATE: Prediction confirmed, though later releases may vary. The Dark Elves may or may not trade places with Skaven.

This means that the skaven will be released somewhere around the spring/ autumn 2008! Blimey, that's going to be a loooooong wait!

2008?... :o Wow, that's a long way off! That means that we'd be playing the 7th edition for about one and a half year, when they completely going to revise the skaven? Gah, how do you mean: messing the fun.

dwarfs done, Empire is a must, as is orcs and gobbos... its basicly fanasty's space marines these 3 lists. The fact we MIGHT *knock on wood* be 2nd in line for a new book after the main 3 is imho DAMN GOOD news. Tho '08 is still far away, but at the same time I still have 5 boxes of clanrats, 2 boxes of nightrunners and 7 boxes of plaguemonks I have yet to touch so maybe its a good thing. *SNICKER*

Agreed. We don't need one, there are other armies out there screaming for a redo like Dark elves (need more plastics) and high elfs who just need their troop costs and abilities revised. And what do they do? Go and redo orcs + gobbo's but why? They were fine as they were!

its not what needs to be redone, its what is worth their time and effort to redo and in what order... orcs/gobbos have no trouble selling thus a revised setup would sell tons of new product. If they redid other races it might not sell as much.... catch my drift?

Yep, too true. All they want is money. The blood sucking monsters! ;)
And the roumer of you need 5 models wide units to count as a rank means that virtualy all the boxed sets for rank and file troops are usless because they do not have enough models to create a decent ranked unit. :o Take my chaos warriors.... they were fine in units of 12 or 16 because they are as hard us nuts, but now i need them in units of atleast 15 to be affective and most probably 20 wich brings up another 2 problems! :( 1. They are very expensive in game pionts at 15 each with a shield........and who doesn't want a unit of chosen at 20 each  . Anyway the more inoying thing is that i needto buy atleast another 2 boxes of them to get my army effectively running again! Oh yer and another thing, they only come as 12 in a box for £18...............what a rip of! <_< Any way i'm rambling so i wills shut up.

*grins*... You know what my problem would be with this rule?

The fact that a rank must have a minimum of five models to be counted as such, means we (as skaven) need quite broad units. My intent is to reform my units into 7x4, or 7x5 instead of the 5x6 I use these days. This means I'll be having to buy a few boxed sets to add to my units, not to mention the painting I need to do under each base, in order I don't feck up setting up my models in ordered rows. It's annoying, though not really such a problem... My MAIN problem is the fact that GW eventually still sells their bases for units that are five models wide! Well bugger me, I want bloody bases that can be wider!

*ponders*... Ah man, this means I'm going to have to redo my(customised) base for the screaming bell as well! Dagnabbit, Games Workshop and their stupid rules changes each time.

Apart from the fact that weapons teams ought to be cheaper now they can be targeted from missile fire, how close to a unit they might stand. I think it's a bit inevitable, as every rulebook is going to be updated.

well, when 7th ed comes out, an errata for all armies that arent being updated within a short period of time should get tweaks here and there.

@ ratticq: at least skaven can afford it. Think about how other armies, asuch as chaos should feel :P

You mean a new Ravening Hordes?... Don't really think that'll happen. The 7th edition is eventually a simple 'upgrade' of the 6th edition and I assume the armybooks from that period can be used just the same way.

Yay! My Rat Ogre! ^_^

I think that all we need are some minor revisions, mostly the toning down of weapons teams, the improvement or lowering of points of Rat Ogres, and improvements for Stormvermin.

I really am not looking forward to Seventh edition very much; I shudder to think of what Gaes Workshop is going to do to the Skaven book...

Unless I'm mistaken thats the same as a box of 20 clanrats (the price is the same in Australia anyway) which are (before upgrades) worth 100pts, the chaos warriors (before upgrades) are worth 168pts. Technically thats more value for money than Skaven.

You do have a point though *contemplates not telling freinds theres a seventh edittion*

Regiment box of clanrats: € 29,95
Number of models: 20
Price per model: € 1,50

Regiment box of chaos marauders: € 29,95
Number of models: 16
Price per model: € 1,87

You do the math... ;)
