Top Story: Diamondglitter Moulder's Rebellion Only three days past, the Master Moulders making their residence in the hold of Diamondglitter (a lair in the southern World's Edge Mountains controlled mostly by Clan Phylaer, Clan Morkreek's bitter rival) rioted. Unlike the recent riots in Dead Rat's Peak for the return of Dawai Lumin, the riots here were far more organized. Moulders, leading beasts, attacked Phylaer headchambers with no warning, quickly killing off much of the leadership there. Black-clad assassins cut down the remaining leaders, while less experienced Moulders shut off all entry and exit tunnels. Unmarked troops, believed by many to be Morkreekian-sponsored, have also helped the Moulders take over much of the hold. Unfortunately for the rebels, it was an ill-timed revolt, for an agent of the Lords of Decay was present, secretly, in the city when the initial attack occurred. Politick Thirqueek Snivelskit, a servant of Warlord-General Paskrit, was discussing several secret topics with Clan Phylaer's ranking Chieftan there, Tharish Blacktongue. The attack almost killed Snivelskit, and has angered Paskrit himself. There are rumours that he is petitioning the Council of Thirteen for stricter laws and restrictions regarding Moulders... the Mouldering World holds its breath. Fortunately (or unfortunately), Clan Phylaer troops sent from their main lair at Phylair arrived yesterday, and liberated the city from the Moulders. Thirty-two Master Moulders have been taken prisoner, and are scheduled for execution in four days, despite much protest from the general populace of the Underempire. Moulders Becoming More Aggressive Throughout much of the Underempire, many Master Moulders are stepping out of their normal role as an athlete of sorts. Instead, many are using their talents to make themselves Warlords, leaders of armies. Recently, many small Clans have been forcibly destroyed or taken over by large numbers of Master Moulder-led troops, forced into slavery to help some arrogant mutator increase his power. Naturally, many Skaven are becoming upset by this, and many smaller Clans are banding together to fight off any attempts this new class of Warlords might make to take them over. Of course, many of the larger Clans are also worried about this. Clan Pestilens is worried about the growth of Clan Moulder, and is pushing for more restrictions on the Mouldering World. Clan Skryre supports this, and Clan Eshin's views are not yet known. Several other large Clans, including Clan Mors, Rictus, Kritislik, Skrisnik, Khesherisk, Kirikkit, Vashnak, Phylaer, Flem, and Krittle also suuport more regulations on Clan Moulder. Clan Moulder's only known supporter in the lack of restrictions issue is Clan Morkreek. Beastpox Weakening; Still Deadly The recent catastrophic Beastpox that has swept through the Mouldering World is showing signs of weakening. Experts warn that this does not mean it is going away or is no longer deadly; it is still just as deadly as before, but it is believed that some mysterious force is causing it to spread less quickly. Siege Continues Desipte many Moulders' best efforts, the siege on Skkiter's stronghold continues, much in the same way as before. Tournament Update: OVEREMPIRE ARENAS: The Waterfall of Death ended, with (unsurprisingly) Skritchit's Mama Cocha as the victor. DEAD RAT'S PEAK: Due to bureacratic and administrative difficulties, the Peak Semi-Open still has not fought out its next rounds, but officials say it will happen soon. SYLVANIA: The Sylvanian Area Tourney has finally ended, with Master Moulder Twitch's creation Boris III winning a four-way Battle Royale between him, Skritchit and Shiva, Sir Marmaduke and Cruris, and Bukko and Chunky. Rumour-Mill: -The Council of Thirteen is planning on limiting the number of staffrats Moulders can have, -The Council of Thirteen wants to eliminate the Master Moulder class entirely... a movement which Packlord Verminkin, of course, vehemently opposes.
