Lord of Ponies
The Colossal Festival!
And let this, the first Hell Pit Colossal Festival begin! Due to our investigations prior to this match, it has been deemed an exciting match, where all four of the other contestants shall fight the creation of Quickitt, a massive tree known as Yggdrasil! They are beginning on opposite sides now, and the barrier has been dropped.
Yggdrasil immediately begins with a burst of lightning, which harmlessly earths near his opponents. Along with this comes a distinctive scent, which soon catches all the beasts save for Clank! The slowest of them, Griond 2 now appears to be the subject of Yggdrasil’s attentions! A spray of acid slams into the giant, whose flesh starts smouldering and hissing as chunks are boiled away. This is nothing compared to afterwards however, as Yggdrasil gets into contact with the giant, and literally tears Griond 2 apart.
The death of the giant however has opened up an opportunity for the others to break free for the paralysing scent. That said, Clank, the massive mechanical dragon had never been affected, and now opened fire with it’s weaponry. A gout of steam slams into Yggdrasil, who seems to have a few pieces boiled away, but is otherwise unaffected.
Splatter fires a variety of ranged attacks at Yggdrasil, but they either bounce off or are reflected by a curious device; which I have identified as a warpfield, of the model made by Snark Warptail. Squalo the Shaggoth has more luck, with lightning bolts lancing into Yggdrasil and seeming to do some damage. Oh, is that a fizzing I see? There goes the Warpfield…
But Yggdrasil is back on the attack! The massive tree moves forward at an astonishing pace, and is reaching with it’s roots… Under the ground? They suddenly pop up, and grab hold of Squalo the shaggoth, who finds himself pulled into the path of an acid spray! The spray disorients the beast, who mercifully is blinded by the time it is pulled close to Yggdrasil itself, and dies shortly thereafter in a storm of branches and tentacles.
Meanwhile, Splatter has used this time wisely, inflating to a massive size before slamming into Yggdrasil in the side! The pincer claws on Splatter’s side snip off many branches, only to have them regrow as quickly as he can cut them down. Clank has more luck, with another burst of steam hitting Yggdrasil; now leaving visible marks over the entire tree.
Unfortunately, Splatter soon finds himself stuck to Yggdrasil, and at the mercy of the massive tree, which opens its maw wide and devours the massive blowfish whole!
Over to the side, Clank seems to be having his own problems, as he is assailed by several miniature Yggdrasils, sprouting out of the ground! The dragon quickly disposes of the smaller trees, but in doing so has left himself unprotected, a fact that Yggdrasil is quick to take advantage of. Tentacles spring up, pinning Clank in place while one massive branch lifts; before swinging down and dashing Clank to the ground. Yggdrasil then proceeds to step onto the dragon, crushing it utterly. It doesn’t seem like Clank will ever get up again.
And that concludes this match! Despite it being four against one, Yggdrasil has still prevailed, and Quickitt has proved that he deserved his promotion into the Inner Domain.
Hell Pit, you stay Classy!
