Haha, I'm winning again ^_^ Thankee Glod

And fine, I'll go and shrink the pictures in a tick :P *grumbles*

I'm working on the second War Hog at the moment, try and get pictures of it up in the next day or two, and I'll see about highlighting the skin some more. I will add though Glod that these chaps are big, big models. I'll take a piccie comparing one to a crappy Rat Ogre I've got lying around somewhere when I get around to posting it. It's a pretty funny comparison ^_^

Still, it's definately 1-0 unless Glod thinks S&D were better, which he hasn't said yet. He only said that you shouldn't wash it.

I'll go with Kormas on that case though, washing makes things better.

I washed this morning and feel enlivened for it. B)

Washing, is useless. You must wash, in fire, to clean away the impurities of the flesh, and of the soul.

I like S&MD personally. Both are pretty damned nice though.

Found out my Missus' Brother plays, so I might be back in swing some time soon :P

A wash would add to the models, but the highlighting would still be needed I feel. I love washes (I even made my own special ink for the purpose) but I think what these models need is some extreme highlights.
They look good though. ^_^

Out of interest, the S&D figure is a little static to me, whereas the Warhog figure is more dynamic. I think the Strum figure would be better with a little conversion, so for now my vote goes to the Warhog. Sorry Chii :P

2-1

Anyway, thanks Sid ^_^ Good to hear you're getting back into wargaming :)

I've been sorta slack on the painting front. I'll try and have a second War Hog up in a week or so, and some other models done not long after that.

On the gaming side of things, I won a game on Friday against a eSorscha list (not my brother). He forfeited after blowing 5 Focus on a boosted Freezing Grip and failing to hit Drang with it, after my War Hogs ate their way through a Juggernaut (his only Warjack), almost all of a full unit of Iron Fleshed Shield Walled Iron Fangs with UA, and one of a max unit of Man-O-War Bombardiers. I'd only lost two Slaugherhousers, my entire min unit of Brigands, and two Bone grinders by this point, and had a Slaughterhouser engaging Eiryss and was slowing feeding Bone Grinders to his Drakhun, meaning with eSorscha's Focus gone and three Fury on Sturm and Drang he really didn't have anything capable of striking a killing blow. With three War Hogs bearing down on his Warcaster, one on full health, one close enough to make no difference, and one which had lost about a quarter of his health, he was looking in pretty bad shape. His hard hitters were gone, his Feat had been used without really doing anything (some hilariously awful rolls), and his last line of defence (a War Dog) had been blasted away prematurely by an Obliteration spell from Drang. So... that was fun. I never got to use Sturm and Drang's Feat though. He only had one Warjack and I scrapped it before it managed to do anything.

And looking to the future, I got my brother eButcher and a Man-O-War Drakhun for Christmas. That promises some... interesting games ahead.

Okies... I really should have had that War Hog done by now. Unfortunately, we had a funny series of amusing events that can basically be summed up with "We lost the paints, I got a job, found the paints, lost them again, found them again, was called into work on a day I was planning to do some painting, then forgot to paint any models for a few days, and now I'm sitting here writing this confession". I can't even promise I'll do any painting tomorrow. Got some odd jobs I need to do around the house and it went over 40 degrees celsius here today <_< Not fun painting weather (not fun weather full stop :( ).

That is the story of my painting life, only add in moving several times, getting married and having a baby. Then stretch it out across about 7 years now. :(

It was over 40 F here today. Pathetic weather for winter!

40 degrees?!??!?!? i have a photo on my phone to show my disbelieving friends that my office got to 26.7 degrees and the office staff were dying :P 40 sounds like an "If the sunlight touches any part of your body, you become instantly dehydrated and start to shrivel up like a slug covered in salt" type of deal

Notice the "F" after the 40. As in Farenheit. It is supposed to be around 0F here right now. No winter at all. :(

(Sorry for the confusion. :P )

For what it's worth, Silvermane, in my post I was talking about 40 degrees celsius, which is getting towards the extreme edge even for an Australian Summer (it normally stays between 28 and 32 degrees celsius for max temperatures) ;) It was... not fun. The slug covered in salt description is quite apt.

Aaaanyway, procrastinated today instead of painting :D My brother half-painted one of his Christmas presents (a Man-O-War Drakhun), and I meant to join him, but I have a shiny new computer and I spent the whole day playing games  Still, I intend to paint some tomorrow, and on Sunday I'll be playing my first games for the new year ^_^
