So, i dont know how many of you play 40k and/or Fantasy, most ppl seem to be warmachine players here :D

But, i was thinking we can have a place to discuss 40k & Fantasy armies aswell, as any older topics relevant to it seem to have died out.

Anyway, to get people started on a topic, im looking for armies that can beat the following! (and no eye-rolling Guldan! :P )

It's the best i can do for a 1500 pts list for as near an attempt to a Draigo-Wing Army as possible.
This initial 1750 pts list is a slight modification of standard Draigo-Wing Armies, but i prefer it.

That, and it seems quite slow. 22 slow models in 1500 points? You should blast them from afar with troops, troops and more troops. And perhaps more heavy weaponry as well.

Im not fighting against them BD, im fighting WITH them, they are my lists. Im just looking for any potential weaknesses that i would need to iron out.

As for the 22 models, it seems quite small yes, but, between them there are;

20 wounds in the 10 man paladin squad, each with a 2+ a/s & a 5+ inv/s, with feel no pain. Also, as every single model is different, if you dont hit them with instant death weapons, you have to cause 11 wounds before the first model drops. (assuming you cause wounds one at a time ofcourse and there arent many squads capable of causing more than 10 wounds to terminators/paladins in 1 round of shots so its a relatively, but not perfectly, safe bet)

Then its 10 wounds for 10 terminators

3 Wounds on Stern

3 Wounds on the Inquisitor (who has a daemonblade and gets 2 randomly generated bonuses in a game - this CANNOT be relied upon, but... best case scenario, he could become an immortal warrior, meaning no instant death, which means, say someone is blasting paladins with lascannons, arguably one of the better anti-terminator weapons short of rapid firing plasma guns or direct basalisk shell hits etc, the 43 pts inquisitor would absorb 3 of the shots before a 55 - 130 pts paladin is even risked. But, thats chance and as stated, cant be relied upon, but he will always absorb at least 1 instant killing weapon and at a cheaper loss to pts, if its a kill points game, this should obviously be avoided to avoid giving a point away.

However, your troops gallore list wouldnt nessacarily work either, the paladins alone have 5 Master-Crafted storm bolters, so S4 AP5 Assault 2 24" @ BS4 re-rolling 1 failed miss each, stats show that over 2 turns 19/20 storm bolter shots will hit, so pretty accurate ^_^ then lets say its orks for easy numbers, 50/50 chance for a bolter to wound, so thats roughly 5 orks per turn, not huge amounts, but its a dent. Youve then got 4 Psycannons with 4 shots each, again, BS4 and re-rolling 1 miss each and they are S7 AP4 Rending 24" (Basically assault cannons with +1S), this should cause (lets say again basic ork boyz) 15/16 hits, about 13 wounds and thats 13 dead boyz, THEN theres the psychic shooting ability they can use which is a Large Blast S5 Ap- attack, which can be used by the Apothercary as he has no other form of ranged attack, this would kill approx 4 - 5 more boyz depending on how bunched they are, ofcourse, if they are tightly bunched, many more, spread out, many less.

Then you have the 2 Psycannons and 8 Storm Bolters from the supporting 10 terminators and the storm bolter from Stern aswell. Plus, sterns special rules indicate that he can re-roll 1 dice per turn, whether it be to hit, to wound or a failed a/s, but the enemy can ALSO re-roll 1 dice at some point later in the game each time Stern does this (Strands of Fate), pretty useful. He also has another ability ive completely forgotten about but is equally useful :P (i should probs re-look that up...)

Once melee comes into play with this list, it's got anti vehicle weapons, anti-high initiative weapons, anti-horde weapons and a few basic nemesis force swords (which are +1 to inv/s in close combat, so a couple of terminators with 4+ inv/s), every weapon is a force weapon (except the daemonblade) upon activation (paladins weapons are auto-active due to the brotherhood banner (which also gives all of them +1A)) and are awesomely effective vs Daemons.

Dispite it being a small army in size, its firepower is high, and its survivability is higher. As for the movement issue, every single weapon can be fired on the move, plus they can run if required, terminator armour does not stop this, it only means they cannot perform a sweeping advance after winning a combat.

Counter-argue please! :D Obviously youre going to have points to make against what ive said and solutions to what i think isnt a problem in the first place, but thats good! It means i might win my... *counts fingers*... 5th game in... *counts other fingers*... 10 years? (yes... its that bad... i was a tau player for 8 and a half years, it didnt go well <_< )
