Without getting into the politics of it, I hope you're all doing socio-economically alright with the recent shakeup in the stockmarket!

I can't wait for my next paycheck so I can buy  .

But yes, I hope people's finances aren't shattered by the temporary instability.

As an Englishman I can confirm - bugger all has changed in my life since the announcement so far. That said, I was on the winning side, so it's not like I'm going to complain anyway.

Oh yeah?
Sorry, gotta ask but what made you choose to leave? Since it's happened I've heard nothing but doom and gloom and that side of it. So I'm wondering what you were hoping to get from this?

The right to self determination, their goddamned sovereignty back, and freedom from the atrocious, undemocratic abomination that is the EU.

UtE does not like anti-democratic institutions. :P

I'm assuming that most of the other nations are under the impression the "England are a key player in the EU", on a similar level to France & Germany. That wasn't remotely true. Our "power" was as much as the majority of the other smaller countries. I voted leave so that if we need to alter, or create, or delete a law that effects us, we can do it, without having to ask permission.

Trade will be unaffected by the leave, unless someone decides to be a dick about it, at which point it isn't a "uk leaving the EU issue" it's a "someone throwing their toys out of the political pram" issue.
Immigration will be practically unaffected, people can still apply for jobs and get a visa, same as before free movement.

The only thing that annoys me about voting to leave is that UKIP is "on our side" for the wrong reasons and it allows those that lost the vote to use it as an excuse to brand everyone as racist.

So now that it looks like that's going to happen, is there anything specific you want to see done with chance at more political freedom?

It's not about wanting something specific done, it's about the ability to be ABLE to do what we need to be done without having to ask if we're allowed to make that decision.

Instead I will just point out that Brexit did a lot of damage to the British economy. A lot.
But hey, it was your choice.

That remains to be seen, either way.

Following the events from Argentina, I was under the impression that it would affect immigration into England in a major way. It appears that I was mistaken. :P
