Dumbledore: Does anyone like the first guy that died more than the second guy. I think he has a greater character than the second guy. What are your thoughts??
Disappointment to a noble soul is what cold water is to burning metal; it strengthens, tempers, intensifies, but never destroys.

Personally, Gambon has also had a much smaller role than Harris did in the first 2....

Richard Harris portrayed Big D much better because he stuck to the intelligent but child-like character that was in the books. However Gambon wanted to make his mark, so he changed the character. Crap.

Richard Harris was exactly how I had always pictured Dumbledore in the books in the first place. He portayed him so perfectly and added his own touch, his own magic to the character which was great. He was a great actor and may he rest in peace now. Gambon is good. Of course he is not as good as Richard Harris was but I think he plays Dumbledore quite well actually. He, like RH added his own touch to it and made the character a bit different than before...but still in many ways he was still Dumbledore. I don't like though how his hair is shorter and how he always has his beard in that little tie...that isn't Dumbledore to me. Richard Harris is by far the best but I think that for who they got, Gambon plays Dumbledore very well.
