I think you are correct in suggesting Galapagos mockingbird David and none of the other three mimidae sp look close.

The only thing that was throwing me David was the bill colouration but a few images do show this but don't suggest why that is the case.

I think the colour variation could be regional - each island has variations in species, even the Marine Iguanas and Lava Lizards can vary an awful lot between islands

That makes perfect sense David and especially with the majority of Galapagos species being endemic.
