The Superb starling is aptly named and i don't think i have ever seen a more gaudy looking Shrike sp than that one.

A wonderful selection of Birds David :cool:

I love the Kite the Kingfisher and the Shrike but most of all the Secretary bird which I think is amazing. There's a wonderful Raptor place somewhere in Gloucestershire ( I think) and they used to throw the Secretary bird a rubber snake so you could see how they killed their prey in the wild...... brilliant :yes:

I love the cranes in the long grass - they look so much more at home than the ones in cold :cold: British zoos and wildlife parks. Also must say - that is one really pretty guinea fowl :wub:

i know the first one from post #154 is Hartlaub's Turaco

for #153 pic 1 I was leaning towards it being either a Goshawk or Peregrine Falcon
