Help! This looks like a comma as it has jagged bottom wings but when it folded them up they were'nt brown with the white comma mark. They were orange. Can anyone ID it from this picture? This is the nearest I could get to it.

Certainly looks like a Comma.The variation in colour could point to it being of the race f.hutchinsoni which is generally lighter and more colourful in underwing patternation.This race makes up 2/5ths of the overall Comma population in the UK. |

While on the garden this afternoon i saw this butterfly it was hard to photograph as it seemed to cling below the leaf .After an age it obliged me and sat briefly on a leaf.I have never seen this one so can anyone ID it please ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
