Wouldn't swear to it but I think it's a Silver-washed Fritillary. Great photo by the way :cool:

We saw some last year and they just wouldn't settle for a photo so we had to be content wth action shots, I think they have to be my favourite Butterfly, lovely to watch :cool:

They are great to watch and i love the way they glide effortlessly around woodland glades. Not easy to photo and the best way is on a dull day when you can find them low down on woodland foliage etc.
