Lovely photo though Jan :Cool:

I've just been cutting the grass and spotted this little butterfly and got quite excited as I thought it might be a Brown Argus but now think it is more likely to be a female Common Blue?

I'd agree with Common Blue, you can see the additional cell spot on the under forewing.

It's a type of heliconid, Tabatha, a species usually associated with rain forests and tropical habitats from South America to the southern parts of the USA.
