:hello1: Dave, that's quite near to Bristol, about twice the distance compared to when I go to Slimbridge. I've never been there.

Ahhh right, bit too far then and Slimbridge is a great place anyway.

I heard on the local radio this morning that the Waxwings that have been in Cheltenham are going to be featured on Winterwatch, then I realized that I haven't put the photos up on here from when I went to see them the second time on the 16th December. So I've just gone through them.....there are a lot....sorry.

There were more there this time. The weather couldn't have been better, a lovely blue sky and no wind. They were a bit skittish though, by all accounts a Sparrow Hawk had been flying around just before I got there.

These two photos were taken as there were so many at the top of this tree, and I couldn't fit them all into one photo....not closeup anyway.

Flying over to the trees with the berries.

Taking off again, this time straight towards us.

Back onto the other tree.....there was a lot of flying back and forwards all the time.....lots of action.

If you watched the first Winterwatch, you'll have seen where the Waxwings were, but I'll still put the photo up on here. They were so close to the flats.

And lastly, a few close up ones. They're all cropped, so not that close really. :giggle:

I did put this one up on the "birds in flight" but just wanted one on this thread too.
