:wow2: superb capture Andy :clap3:

We visit Attenborough a number of times during the year and really enjoy the walk round the reserve. Never seen a Bittern there yet, missed out on the four that were there last year sometime. Some great spots for taking photos there and we often sit in the Kingfisher hide for hours waiting for decent photo opportunities. We find that the bridge which takes you to the visitor centre is a pretty good spot for capturing wildfowl....managed some good shots of a Red crested pochard and Egyptian goose.

Look forward to more photos Andy.

Great photo Andy  . Bitterns frequent a number of the reserves and reservoirs around here but they've always been "out" when I've gone visiting!

I think he just officially opened the reserve Larry and the name solely lies upon it's geographical location.

That's a brilliant photo Andy :clap3:

I keep hearing that there's a sighting of a Bittern .....well two the other day, at Slimbridge WWT, but I haven't had a chance to get there yet. I would love to see one.

Larry, I think David Attenborough's inspired many, many people, he's done so much to educate people about all the wildlife around us.
