:wow: A superb set of photos PeppiB ... I love the close ups of the Whooper Swans and it is great to see the Scaup and Goosanders in such detail. I hope the cygnet will be okay - it does look a nasty wound.
:thanks1: for sharing those.

These were a lot further away and were taken through my digiscope, showing the problems i am having with a faulty tripod head - although I am hopeful I can be cured!

A couple from Saltholme - nothing too exciting as the rare ones were on a different pool with the sun behind them :(

:wow: A fantastic set of photos PeppiB ... and I am very jealous - both of what you saw and that sun!!! Brilliant captures of the seals - an animal I have yet to see (but maybe one day).

Gill - you literally step out of the car and see those seals. They were just beside the bridge that carries the main Hartlepool to Port Clarence road over Greatham Creek.
Jealous because someone yesterday (he is a professional bird photographer) captured the long eared owl and green woodpecker yet again at Saltholme. No sign of either when I was there on Tuesday :(

I've just had a lovely catchup PeppiB.

A brilliant assortment of birds.....that poor cygnet, that wound didn't look good at all. :(

Great photos of the seals too. :clap5:
