:greatpic: PeppiB - I remember seeing them when we were there a couple of years ago. It is a wonder the nests stay, they look ready to drop off at any moment.

Looks like you have seen some :sun: today which is more than we have down here.

:thanks: for posting

Brilliant photos PeppiB. :clap3:
As someone who has lived close to the sea all my car owning days I think i can say with some certainty that the secret of the nests stability lies in the concrete-like properties of gull droppings once they have dried. :giggle:

:wow: Brilliant photos of the Kittiwakes PeppiB :clap2: Those ledges look desperately narrow but I suppose the birds have had good practice as some of the cliff faces they nest on look equally precarious to me!

:wow: Brilliant photos PeppiB. "Your" Avocets look much more attractive than the RSPB logo :giggle: and the seals look extremely relaxed about life.

:thanks1: for sharing those.

:greatpic: PeppiB. Lovely to see the seals as well. I see the kittiwakes are still nesting on the bridge.

There were five Avocets at Wyver lane last week (my local nature reserve) and that was the first site record and the first county record since 1956! and guess what....i missed them

Dave - I know the feeling well. I actually went elsewhere to photograph some crossbills which had been showing well - only they weren't there when I was - so drove about 40 miles to coast to see avocets!
