I like the one with the bird chasing the black headed gull and looking like it is going to peck its bottom!

OK not strictly birds, but they do fly. Forgot my cameras - again - at the weekend  but had my mobile phone. Something eerie about a freezing cold misty morn wandering alone in such a huge area

Wow, great photos Peppi, especially of the puffins and terns.
Health allowing we were planning on going into that area later this year if we get up to Scotland again. We were going to stay around Berwick & Alnwick.

Anything worth seeing up there in late October? or is Holy Island worth checking out in 1st week of November?

:hello1: Stu
Farnes unpredictable late October/November as seas can often preclude sailings from Seahouses. Hit and miss for Holy Island as well - easy to get to across the causeway as long as you stick to the safe crossing times. Sometimes plenty to see and others absolutely **** all! You will be better spending a day around Hartlepool with Saltholme reserve, Greatham Creek, Newburn Bridge, Marina and Headland all worth a visit at that time. Quite often rarities blown in. Hope this helps
