:thanx: Didn't have much choice for the grouse - it was posing nicely beside the road and by the time I stopped the car and picked up the camera it had taken flight. Wish it had been lighter for the Japanese Pheasant. Caught that on the way home in near darkness

I haven't seen any Grouse, let alone, Red or Black or a Japanese!! pheasant......in fact I've never even heard of one of those before.......through curiosity I had to look that one up, by all accounts it's also known as the Green pheasant. :blink: ....you live and learn. :giggle:

Tabatha/Jan - sculpture doesn't have a name. It is just one of several installed when Quayside was developed in the past decade. I have the others posted (couple of years ago now) in a Quayside thread. This one is on Sandgate, as sung about in the 'keel row' folk song
