An interesting link, albeit a brief history, of the Godetia.

Virtually the same age as my Moggy then! Bet the ship has covered more miles though. Thanks for the link

One of these was taken with a pro camera, the other with the new amateur one, both using the same lens. Can you tell which is which?

Both taken this afternoon within a couple of minutes of each other

There's a big difference between the two pics PeppiB! :o Is this a trick question?

I'm not very au fait with posh cameras, but going by the camera models detailed on Flickr your new one wins?????

Did the pretty little bird get a reward for being a volunteer in your experiment? :girlygiggle:

Now that's a bit tricky PeppiB

Both are nice photos but I would imagine the bottom photo has more realistic colours.......... But I bet there's a twist here somewhere so I'll say the top is pro and the bottom is amateur because really I would expect it to be the other way round...........if you see what I mean

Just had a lovely catch up here PeppiB, all super photos but I particularly like the ones of the Tyne :cool2:

I think the bottom photo is the pro camera as the definition and detail is so much sharper (I'm probably totally wrong, of course :giggle: )

I would go for the bottom one as well PeppiB but you could be fooling us all :giggle:

The top one is from the pro camera and the bottom from the amateur one. My eyes are getting old so I was just wondering if anyone else could see the difference. Am getting more used to the new one now - it is so much lighter!

That's interesting PeppiB I thought that might be the case and I have to say I prefer the bottom photo as I think the detail is better, nice to know it's lighter  much less cumbersome

:greatpic: PeppiB. I would have gone for the bottom one as well. Seems like that new camera is a good buy.

:thanks: for posting

Great photos PeppiB :clap3:

I would have said the bottom photo so it just shows you how hard it is to define images from one camera to another.
