:thanx: Julie, Jan, Gill & Amethyst

Marg - the recent ones are taken with new camera and only a 200 instead of 600mm lens (hand held) hence they are sharper. The new lens is also a VR one (vibration reduction) which also helps. They are massively cropped but still retain sharpness

This chap was lurking in the bushes when out for lunch on Sunday

Posted Image

Monday it was high tide when I was out, so probably no birds

But on a closer look - knot in sight

Brilliant photos PeppiB.

Pleased to hear that the new camera is working well. :cool1:

The lens that I've got only goes up to 300, (Tamron 70-300mm with VC ) but when cropped down remains sharp.....so different from my bridge camera, that has a brilliant 20x zoom plus, but when those pictures are cropped, they're nowhere near as sharp, in fact they're quite grainy.

I like the group of knots - they look greatly inconvenienced having to balance on a slope there 'cos the tide had the audacity to come in! :girlygiggle:
