PeppiB, I missed your first set of photos where the Grouse were so well camouflaged, brilliant photos, especially the close up of the grouse.

Super, Peppi, I love Avocets.We only see them here in Winter. Glad you didn't say where. Horrible that people still do that. It's against the law as well. There are some evil people around.

The kittiwakes are nesting under the Tyne bridge - not in as great a number as seen in previous years though. No chicks visible yet.

The floodlighting on the bridge has been turned off, presumably so the nesting isn't disturbed.
