I'm getting a little concerned over the well-being of Selborne. According to the BTO Tagging map his signal hasn't updated since 28April, and his location hasn't moved. I don't quite know what to make of it. Has the map just not updated for some reason, or has he met his demise ![]() I hope it's the former. |

I don't really know what the procedure is with the BTO for tagged birds. Do they have monitors who can come out with tracking equipment when tagged birds are not moving for a while? If the path I was following the other day had been passable, then I would have been able to get close to the area Selborne was last tagged. I'd used the BTO map in conjunction with the Google Earth map to establish a close enough match to get GPS coordinates to follow. This is what I was doing yesterday when I was in that area. If his tag has fallen off and it's just laying on the ground then I think that would be an impossible task to find it without the proper tracking equipment. |

I've just checked the BTO Tagging map and it appears that all is well with Selborne - he's on the move again. He's gone further northwest of his last position - beyond the tree line I was at yesterday, but not an easy area to get to on foot. |

Glad to hear all is well with Selborne Laurie, I'm not sure what they do in the event of one of them not moving for a while
