The stunning Bullfinch. What a great bird to have visit your garden. We have been lucky enough to have 3 pairs at one time on occasions. Outstanding!

Thanks everyone. The Bramblings were taken at Blashford Lakes where they are a regular winter visitor often seen with Siskin, Redpoll and other finches.

Saw this Short Eared Owl today whilst driving along. Just managed to get the camera out of the car window (I did pull over first!) and grab this as it flew by. Not perfect but I was glad it came out as well as it did under the circumstances. And no glue required!!!

Chaffinch. Much overlooked as they are such a common sight but the male particularly is a very colourful addition to our bird life.
