The humble Great Tit (Parus major). It's commonly heard nad identified Teacher, Teacher or Peter, Peter call is just one of up to 40 calls and songs it may produce.

I took this image of a Green Heron (Butorides virescens) in Florida. A really stunning riot of colour.

Greenfinch (carduelis chloris). An aggressive looking, powerful finch, sadly suffering widespread mortality due to Trichomonosis. Regular cleaning of bird feeders can help this horrible disease form spreading to garden feeding birds.

Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea). I have always loved these formidable birds but having seen one devouring Avocet chicks I do fear for others when they appear on the scene, including the fish in my pond.

Hobby (Falco subbuteo). there can be fewer summer sights than watching the incredible aerobatics of a Hobby hunting.

Jackdaws (Corvus monedula). Pretty annoying when they nest in your chimney and a bit of a bully around the garden feeders but they are probably one of the prettier Corvids.

Thank you hh. I think you are right about the Leucism in the Jackdaw which made its slightly more interesting subject I think.

Beautiful photos, Tim. I especially like the one of the Greenfinch looking straight at you - you're right about them looking aggressive!!

Another nice collection of photos Tim, I especially like the Green Heron shot. I did some Wildlife Photography in Florida last year, but I was never able to get a shot of one of those. Nice one. :goodpost:
