can you tell me please , what this Lichen is ? I keep seeing it and wonder if it's a Common Orange :thinking:

thank you for that link , Dave ....... i wonder if it's one of those Squamulose lichens there is an orange . Xanthoria aureoria but it's tricky . it's certainly not clear cut . I forgot to use the little loop i had in my bag which might have shed more light on the pattern .

I think they're very intriguing

yes , Grayling ....... they're just as intriguing as the mosses .... the fungi as well . I love the tiny growths ... such beautiful little things ......... i'm staggered when i see them magnified :cool1:

I don't remember a specific programme for all these plants :thinking:

Dave ... i have all day and night these days ... but even that's not enough time : ) I'll just keep to wildlife/nature / plants / birds .... i started an astronomy class but i couldn't keep up :giggle:

Fruticose lichen, British Soldiers maybe, is the common one, sorry I could not get down to ground level

I can't seem to find anything other than Cladonia cristatella in that type of lichen, John.
