With the weather so mild at the moment have you seen anything you weren't expecting for the end of October and into November.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a large bud on a Poppy in the garden today

Also loads of Nasturtium seedlings that have set themselves from the summer flowers

A great idea for a thread Jan

I was looking around yesterday at some strange goings on  I have Toadflax flowering again, the Hebe and Lychnis is still going strong as is my Clover. The Mexicans will last until the first frost so we're used to that

I have a Ceonothus in flower......usually a Springtime event

This week we have had 3 poppies flowering. My wild flower trough that I grew for 'What's in your pot' had died back so I cut it back a few weeks ago and now it looks like this in the photo. We have a new foot high shoot on the delphinium.

Some great photos everyone and a brilliant idea for a thread. I have noticed that Ragwort and Fox&Cubs are still in flower and i think that must be pretty late for both of these.

I still have some clover flowering in my wildflower tub.

Look what I spotted on my walk yesterday,

There were lots of primrose plants along a woodland track but I was surprised to find this Primrose in flower

My Magnolia always gets a good prune after flowering but because of all this mild weather it's twice the size again :o

They still look good Jan , I like that pretty bi-colour pink flower :cool3:

I still have some nemesias flowering and a few petunias and I noticed a large bud on one of the fuchsias plus a few flowers still on the climbing rose.

:wow: Definitely unusual sightings for this time of year.

I have still got flowers from plants bought in May. Some of the bulbs are coming up as well.
