It might seem early to be talking about signs of Autumn when we don't seem to have had much of a summer yet ,but this morning i saw a lot of fallen golden leaves and its only early August!!

With ripe Blackberries already reported it is looking like we are quickly heading into Autumn.

Post your sightings here and we can build up a wider picture as to what is happening...

such as Autumn fruits and Berries ,trees turning colour ect.

Will do Jan.

It seems like a very good idea to start this now, as so many things are changing around us all.

The leaves are falling off down here to, but I think part of that is due to drought. A lot have fallen off my apple trees, and I just hope that the apples don't follow before they're ready.

For tea I had a very nice bramble and apple pie, the brambles from my grandmas garden, and the apples from my garden! I have seen lots of other various berries about, but other than that, nothing very autumnal yet :)

Great photos D.Jan and Dave :cool2:

It does look as though autumn is well under way ... which is a bit worrying when you think it's only the middle of August!

I still wonder how much this very dry weather we've had....well down here anyway, has helped the leaves to fall sooner this year.

One thing that does seems very autumnal to me is the change in the Robins song, it's lower now.

i'm also seeing signs of berries coming out ahead of their normal time and some leaves starting to turn. Really surprised to see some blackberries so well on. We blinked and missed summer!

Could it be the hot dry spell in spring that's knocked the balance?
I have seen lots of fallen leaves the tree is definitely going brown, Gulls have come back early, they usually arrive around September and the dreaded spiders coming in, yes I am scared of them.

:greatpic: Everyone.

Ripe blackberries have been around since the first week of this month. A lot of trees are turning brown now. I noticed this chestnut tree outside the Leisure Centre this morning.

That's a lovely photo Tabatha :cool2:

The "Browns" (where Malcolm works) Swallows are flying around in circles overhead today at high speeds ... getting up strength for the long journey, I assume.
