Love th photos on here and that last one of the fruit is great, finding it difficult to get motivated and get out even though its my fav. time of year.
Found the one I put on with the fungi strange never seen a Birch stump go like that before.

Jen, when you mentioned the designs went and had a Google, really something, not the best of photo of mine but the design and colour is fairly true might go back and look again.
Not sure if the very red apples in your photo were Discovery, I got some but they don't keep very long.

Further to my thoughts on this stump that it has been treated with a rot inducing chemical as I see no sign of any growth, which I would have expected, fungi seem to be loving it.

I have been informed that is typical of the staining you would expect from the hyphae of a fungus such as Armillaria mellea, Honey fungus

:Waves: i've no idea as to the apples on the Mandala design John .. they could be bright crabs or even berries , it's hard to see , but when i saw you tree stump and fungi it made me think of the many designs i've seen around in Botanic gardens , woodlands .. nice art work to make

Some of your honey fungus appears to be mimicking the design on the tree stump :cool4:
