Today in the Hambleden Valley I noticed people were cutting their hedges and there was a lovely smell of bonfire smoke wafting into the car. Autumn is coming, I thought.

Thanks Tabatha.

Usually see quite a few down Wyver lane, it's very shady and damp down parts of the woodland lane, perfect habitat for Cuckoo pint.

I do love a bonfire. As kids, my sister and I used to cook potatoes in foil on Dad's bonfire.

That's what we used to do on November the 5th Ann, chuck jacket spuds in foil on the bonfire and they came out the best spuds i have ever tasted.

The first signs of autumn for me are when I hear the first geese flying overhead which is usually around the 23rd of Sept, nothing so far, but then again have not been out much.

Although not falling in vast quantities there was the occasional leaf fluttering down as we were driven along by Mike.
