Ann, don't apologise - those are absolutely stunning photos and ones you should be really proud of :clap5:

I've never even seen a Waxwing in the wild before let alone photograph one :jealous:

Thank you all. I was grateful for the sunshine although it was tricky to get into a position where the Waxwing or the branches didn't create shadows.

Red Kites and a Wood Pigeon in Princes Risborough. I took these last week when the sun was shining.

Super shots Ann , just remind me of the zoom on your camera because i doubt the kites were flying very low

Thank you everyone, and Jen it's 600mm but you'd be surprised how low the Red Kites are, many people feed them in back gardens so they're constantly hovering really low and swooping down to the ground.

Ann, your photos of both the Thrushes and Waxwings are superb. I have the feeling that they are both after berries in the same tree.

Super photos of the Fieldfares and Waxwings Ann - neither of which I have seen this winter.

Terrific shots of the Red Kites too - there are a lot around Reading which fly very low, swooping just above the cars at times!!

:greatpics:

The local Grebes are still courting, oh how I wish I could get a photo of them "dancing".
