Fabulous photos Ann, even more so considering how tricky this species can be to see in the first place. This huge irruption of Hawfinch has really helped disperse them all over the UK.

Eric, if any of your excursions take you toward Little Missenden in the next few days, you should be able to see one without leaving your car if you have a pair of binoculars. Just park opposite the church and scan the tops of the trees to the rear of the church. There will probably be other bird watchers around to give you an idea of where the Hawfinches are too.
