Unusually tame Fieldfare, Grebe with eyes bigger than its belly (the fish escaped) and a noisy Goose.

Thank you all.

Paula, I'm not normally a very patient person, my Mum used to say I was a terrible fidget but give me some wildlife and a camera and I'm in my element. I was photographing Fallow deer some years ago and hadn't realised how still I could be until I felt something on my foot and looked down to see a baby Rabbit sitting on my boot.

Jen, yes those Coots and Moorhens have rather spooky feet. I was chugging down the river Soar in Leicestershire on my narrowboat and fished out a baby Moorhen once. I was shocked to find that not only did it have spooky feet but it had claws on its wing joints too!

A belated thank you, Dave.

Just got back from my first trip of the year in the motorhome. It felt really good to have those extra bank holiday days off work and although it was still rather chilly, the sun did shine a bit for me. I went back to a favourite haunt in Suffolk and managed to get a few points for the spotting challenge as well as some great pics of the Dartford Warblers. An added bonus was a couple of Firecrests at Minsmere although I did struggle to get a decent photo of one.
