Thank you everyone for your lovely comments, I am really glad you liked them.

The coal tits and blue tits are particularly difficult to take as they move so quick and you can miss them in a blink, I must have taken well over 100 pictures trying to get that small collection together. So I am quite pleased with the results.

Thank you all for looking.

:wow: Vicki, fantastic photos.
The nearest I got to getting a photo of the Coal Tit was the back of it's head. :giggle: As you said, both the blue tit and coal tit are very quick, as are a lot of birds really.
Out of curiosity what camera do you use Vicki?

Hi dovetail-Marg,

I am using a Nikon D60, which I bought at the beginning of September. I have two lenses, a 18 - 55 mm and a 55 - 200 mm telephoto. Those pictures were taken with the telephoto. I am still very much in the beginners stages of trying to work out all of its functions as I want to learn how to take photos without relying on the automatic programmes. The Nikon is very easy to use, very light and I do love it. I used to have a sony cybershot which is great for happy snaps, but i found it quite limitating when trying to do macro and nature shots. I have got the phtography bug big time now. :girlygiggle:

Thanks for the info Vicki. I looked at that camera (I'm quite new to photography myself) as I was looking at SLR cameras, but in the end I decided to go with the Panasonic FZ18 in the end. This is a bit more limiting than an SLR, but for me at the time ( back in May this year) an easier type of camera. I've still got to sort out the options that I have, as I just use the automatic function at the moment. Like you I've got the bug now. :girlygiggle:
Marg.

Thank you Night Owl.

No probs Dovetail Marg, I did look at the panasonic camera too, but in the end thought lets go for the nikon and see where my photography takes me and then buy the appropriate lenses to go with it. I do use the automatic settings a fair bit, but I am slowly learning how to set a shot up and it is a wonderful feeling when you get it right. Patience and practice being the two biggest lessons I've learnt so far... :girlygiggle:

The panasonic is a lovely camera with a pretty impressive zoom on it. Good luck with your pics.
