Lovely photos Jean I'm sure the pigeons will soon find another home it's such a shame to l;oose that beautiful tree especially if it turns out it wasn't diseased

Forget Me Not - if your tree was not diseased, it is a tragedy indeed that it has been felled. 150 years old as well, it had been part of the landscape for a very long time. I don't like the idea of cutting trees down, and I know there have been a few cases where they were being cut down as a precaution, which isn't right really. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy the seats that will be provided.

Who actually told you that the tree was diseased?

The above were taken yesterday. The pigeon visited on Wednesday, have never seen a pigeon down here. He must have remembered and he came back on Thursday. The locals were sitting on the fence watching him. I am wondering if he will turn up today.

Lovely photos there, Tabatha. Perhaps your Pigeon will become a regular now if it knows there is food around. I took some photos today but they're a bit blurry as I took them through the window.

The two collared doves were sitting on the fence this afternoon. They seem to like visiting the bird table.

I think those are greenfinches Bluebell, I am about to post some of feeding on the sunflower feeder in our apple tree, so see if they are the same.

Great blackbirds Di, they are my favourate birds in our garden, but they wont stick around to be snapped. :bird1:
