Lovely clear photo of the pigeons, Tabatha. I bet they find plenty of scraps of food from around there.

They probably do, there is a Macdonalds and KFC just along the road from there.
I have seen starlings feasting on left over KFC before now!!!! Imagine birds eating chicken!

I'm not sure if this is the same pigeon that I posted a photo of on the 21st September, but I took these photos today and again it was quite happy to pose while I was close by. I was struck by the lovely markings on its wings.

Another couple of good photos there Di, it does look like it is a similar colour, but you have got him in a different pose this time. It is possible, especially if he was quite happy for you to photograph him.

The markings on his wings are quite striking!

:thanx: for posting

Great picture Di you have a well stocked larder there for the birds.
I love to watch Jackdaws make quite a noise too.

Lovely photos Di. I don't wish to put a damper on it Di, but I thought that the pigeon in the last few photos looked a bit unwell, as it's feathers were really fluffed up, I hope that I'm wrong. Perhaps it had just had a shake of it's feathers.
Love the photo of the jackdaws, they're such cheeky birds aren't they.

A great photo of all the pigeons Tabatha, it looks as if they're queueing up for the food.

:Hi: Marg. Regarding the pigeon, I know that when I took the photos it was quite a windy day and his feathers were blowing about a bit. He's the one that lets me get quite close up to him and he's been in my garden quite a lot since the photo was taken. In fact, he's always one of the first to appear when I've put any food out. I've nicknamed him 'Percy' because he is such a regular visitor. :giggle:

My hanging basket feeder has finally attracted some interest from the local
wood pigeon population.

(next door seems to have removed his feeding station at present) so I have not seen quite so many around, but here is one brave fellow who doesn't mind swinging around a bit. Only one bird can get on there at a time. Earlier today, when a second one tried to join in, it really swayed about and they both flew off!

Image is slightly blurred, but I took it through the window, otherwise he would have flown away.

This crow was outside the Leisure Centre yesterday morning. There were three of them, but only managed to catch this one.
