Well Shaz, what wonderful photos of your feathered friends. You have great skill with the camera and I wonder if the clarity of the East Anglian light adds that something extra? I have noticed extra sharpness in pictures I have taken during holidays in Norfolk and Suffolk.

My garden is certainly starting to get busy again as autumn sets in..
Yesterday morning it was the most busy it has been for some time with the return of some visitors i have not seen since the spring..

Posted Image
Only Starlings, House Sparrows, Collard Doves and Wood Pigeons have been visting thoughout the summer.

Posted Image
Fantastic to see Blue Tits in the garden again..

Posted Image
As well as Great Tits.

Posted Image
I was so pleased to see Coal Tits back in the garden yesterday, at least 2 fed for almost an hour..

Then i noticed this little beauty..

Posted Image
Finches are practically non-exsistant in my garden, i have only seen 1 female Chaffinch breifly visit last winter and 1 female Greenfinch again breifly last spring!!, for some reason they just dont visit..
So you can imagine how thrilled i was to see this lovely young Goldfinch yesterday..

Posted Image
He or she stayed around for over 10 mins..

Posted Image
Feeding with the House Sparrows..

Posted Image
It is the first time i have ever seen a Goldfinch in my garden, though i will not be holding my breath i do hope it and maybe some of its mates return, it would be lovely to see at least some Finches visit regular!!..
