Nice to see the blue tit and goldfinches. I am hoping to see the blue tits again soon. They do seem to disappear over the summer.

:thanks: for posting

I've just been catching up with this thread....... :wow: what fantastic photos everyone, I really enjoyed looking at them all.

Well I've had a rather unusual visitor to my garden this morning, a male pheasant. I heard it in the orchard (my garden backs onto it) when I was in the garden yesterday. This morning when I was about to hang some washing out I saw it eating some bird seed. I always put some seed down on the ground (in a dish) for the ground feeding birds, and the pheasant found it. I managed to take one photo (I ran into the house to get camera and it was still there when I went back) before it flew off.

I took these photos yesterday, when I saw it in the orchard.

Sorry this one isn't brilliant, but considering it was also taken through mesh, and I was definitely caught up in brambles by this stage, I suppose it isn't too bad.

Here he is under the feeders. I've got a fence around it because of the cats that pass through my garden, before I put that up, the cats used it as a walk through McDonalds. It's not a brilliant photo, but it just goes to show what might!! turn up in the garden. I've got no idea where it came from.

You get quite a selection of birds in your garden granheather. It always amazes me the amount of trouble the larger birds will go to to get at feeders.

Lovely image of the pigeon Julie.

:thanks: for posting both of you
