This unusual looking pigeon was on my neighbour's garage roof this morning. It almost looks like a cross between a dove and a pigeon. ![]()

Hi Beth, that's a coincidence as I saw a similar here on Saturday. It had more white than yours and I managed to get close enough to see it had red eyes. I had just been to the camera shop so had my camera with me but unfortunately, as I was hauling it out of my bag, something spooked the bird and it flew away. I'm glad you got a photo of yours as I was beginning to think I had dreamt it. |

Gill. Yes, it caught my eye yesterday as it had such unusual markings. I never saw it again once it had flown off, but I'll keep a look out for it today.

Great photos Stu. I agree with Jean, they are terribly hard to capture when flying - unless they are coming straight at you. That, at least, offers a fighting chance
