The wood pigeon population is a bit scarce around here now, but I still get the odd one going for the peanuts.

Nice photos, Tabatha. Looks like that pigeon will have all the peanuts to himself. :girlygiggle:

these were the doves released at my cousins wedding a couple of weeks ago. my mam had the best pic, but she's new to this digital camera lark and just got them dveloped then cleared the memory instead of saving them to disc or anything!!!!
so mine have the groom & best man in the background!

Great photos of the collared doves, Harrypottersmate. Looks like they are well fed.

Also, lovely pics of the doves. Nice to see the groom and best man, too!

What a lovely idea, releasing doves following the wedding! You did well to catch the collared doves in you garden, it doesn't usually take much for birds to suddenly scatter in all directions.

:thanx: for posting

This is 'Percy' about half an hour ago. I find I talk to him now when he lets me get up close. He probably thinks "it's that daft woman again!" :lol2:

It hasn't come out over well, this group of pigeons were outside Euston Station this morning. It had just started to drizzle, I think that may be why the photo is a bit dark. I should have used the automatic setting.

Even though the picture is dark Tabatha you can still see the huge gathering of pigeons until i read that it was at the station imagined everything in your garden being eaten :girlygiggle:

Lovely photos, Jan. It's amazing how birds survive when the weather is horrible.
