Managed to take a couple of pics of these House Sparrows on the bird bath. At one point, there were about 8 of them all having a drink and a splash about. (Sorry that the photos aren't very sharp. I took them through the window.)

:greatpic: Di. Well caught, it can be very difficult to get these birds on camera.

This little robin was singing away a lunchtime, right at the top of the conifer.

Great photos Tabatha  All the garden birds seem so happy to see the sun. I have groups of starlings sitting at the top of the silver birches basking in the warmth - and that is something I've not seen them do before. Smaller birds yes but not the starlings.

 Bluebell, it could be a juvenile wood pigeon - hence no white patch either side of the neck. No doubt someone else will be able to confirm or otherwise.

:greatpic: Bluebell.

It doesn't seem to resemble the wood pigeons that I see regularly in my garden. The beak doesn't look the same. Also the feathers and colour are different.

Someone else might know more, it seems to resemble a pigeon of some sort.
