Thanks! I was just out in my garden a few minutes ago taking some photos of these orange berries(?). I'm not sure what they are called but blackbirds love them! Funnily enough a male blackbird arrived while I was taking photos of the berries but I couldn't move because he would fly away so the camera was focused on the berries sadly.

Excellent captures Geoff and William.

I believe that some cameras have a setting on them, can't remember what it is, that eliminates focusing on objects that are near and focuses on the subject matter you want.

Thanks.

My feeders all get cleaned and disinfected fairly regularly but using sunflower seeds with a few added suet treats tends to mess things up again within a couple of days, particularly in damp weather.

Would those orange berries be Pyracantha? Long sharp thorns? There is also a yellow berry variety.

Thanks. I've just Googled Pyracantha and it's a match. Blackbirds and Thrushes love them.

Wish my camera had that setting Dave, so annoying when it does that!

Isn't it just. I think Julie's Nikon has such a setting on it but mine doesn't.
