great to have redwing in the garden grayling. aye they dont half strip a tree of berries. was watching a small flock of them today at forfar loch. |

A very good point Grayling. It is possible that connecting gardens (who don't do the birdwatch but feed the birds) could be getting those species that are absent from your own garden, including those scarcities such as Blackcap, Redpoll, Long-tailed Tit and Goldcrest etc. It therefore makes the survey rather subjective in terms of it's findings....nonetheless, an extremely important survey to participate in and a great way of introducing children to garden wildlife. |

Thank you Jen Dave, the weather was so bad in the end it didn't help either Another bird I don't get in the garden very often is Pied Wagtails but one has taken to visiting over the last few weeks. ![]() ![]() ![]() A Robin and Crow from the other week at Lymington ![]() ![]() Robin at Wisley the other day ![]() ![]() Yet another Robin, but from my garden today ![]() And the Thrush is still about - a couple from today ![]()

Brilliant photos again Grayling. ![]() I had a Pied wagtail in my garden the other day, sadly though it didn't stay very long. I haven't seen a Song Thrush in my garden for a very long time, so a bit but I have heard one singing close by. I do however get a Mistle Thrush, it likes the Mistletoe berries.
